An IIM news tracker

Currently, I work with Air Deccan where I head the Revenue Management (RM) function. I was hired to set up the RM function from scratch. RM function is a critical part of (any) airline and responsibilities include pricing and revenues for the whole airline. I work at the corporate office, Bangalore, so if you are at Cunningham Road anytime during weekdays, do give me a buzz and we could meet up. 

I am a Fellow of IIM Bangalore: I finished my doctoral studies [ Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) ] in the area of Quantitative Methods and Information Systems (QMIS) area at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore. The topic of my research was Strategic Role of Information Systems Leadership.  IIMB is ranked #1 in the Information Systems (See print copy for tables).  

After a B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute(HBTI), Kanpur, I worked for a few years in the chemical industry before coming back to school for graduate studies.  Before my current aviation industry experience, I worked in both continuous as well as batch process plants and hence am exposed to various facets of the chemical industry. My prior work experience is a rich fusion of Production, Technical Services and Projects. 

I come from Saharanpur, a calm and peaceful district in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. To indicate a little about my interests, I am a Mensa and a Director on AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) India chapter board.
