G-214 @ IIMB

No, no, G-214 is not the name of a spaceship.  Wrong again, its not a drug name either.  What did I hear?  U want a last guess??  Ok , go ahead.  Oops!  Wrong this time around too!! No man, its not the code name for a Gang.  What the hell is wrong with you man?

It is the number of my room, where I have stayed for last four years!!  I just love it.  My room has two indoors  plants, one of which has been with me now for almost three-and-a-half years!!  Its a money plant.  When I got it, it was a sapling which has now grown into a big plant that spreads over three sides of my room!!!  The other plant is a palm plant.  But this one is not as strong and I have had to change it once in a while.  Well, about the rest of G-214, have a look!!

Yes, that's entrance to G-214.  Can you read G-214 at the top of the door bracket? Calvin and Hobbes that you see at the door is drawn by Prabodh Sunahre, a PGP batch mate of mine.  I have successfully guarded it over the years from getting whitewashed.  No, wait a minute.  One summer, they actually whitewashed it!!  So I had to redraw it on the faint outline left when the whitewash had dried up.  In the process, I added the tree in the background :)  U can see money plant behind me at the window side.

These are my plants!  On the window is the money plant, where as on the left side is the palm tree.  I hope the growth of this money plant is a symbol of the real money in my future. :-)

Another picture of my plants taken from the desk side.

This is the desk side view of my board and paraphernalia, just above my desk and computer.  As you can very clearly see, I love this city Bangalore!!  Man, what a place!  In the front, you can see a troll, but don't be scared of him. He's a harmless creature! The picture on the board is that of my Bhabhi (sister-in-law) Divya (I call her DB :-) graduating from North Carolina State Univ!

The front side view of my room taken from the entrance.  My computer is my lifeline, I guess.  I don't know what will I do without it.  Its a Pentium P-III 600Mhz machine (Alright its outdated. Don't rub it in man!) with 128MB RAM, 15" color monitor, 100MB iomega Zip drive.  I bought it when I sold laptop which was gifted by my brother.

This is my music system and some of my music beside it.  I haven't really touched much my music cassettes and CDs very much since I started collecting MP3s.  Today I have 33GB of music on my computer which is connected to my Sony GR55.  Also my music system is connected back to my computer so that I can grab music off radio, CD, cassette etc etc.

That's the back side of my room.  Alright, I do have some books too! Sue me!!
