After brief experience as a co-founder of an Internet venture, I thought of starting my a site about myself. The idea was just to have a presence on the Net and to interact with people from various walks of life. The site was started in June 2000. Today, the site receives moderate amount of traffic (some 1000 page views a day). Most popular pages are the music-lists. Not surprisingly, post audio-galaxy, traffic to my site from people searching for music has increased tremendously. In fact, my site was shut down for 5 days during 28th Aug-3rd Sep '02 due to excessive bandwidth usage. If u wanna see how my site has changed over the time, here's this amazing site called www.archive.org. It is known as the library of the Internet! Yes, believe you me, that's what they are! They are archiving the whole internet itself!! The purpose is to archive the ephemeral information on the Net and to allow the posterity to see how Net was at a given point of time in history. I just happened to stumble onto this site while surfing the web generally. I just typed in my site URL in 'Take me Back' feature and hit return out of curiosity. And lo behold, there my site was archived almost since its inception!! I never told them to do it for me, nor did they ask my permission for it: they just did it! Amazing, isn't it?
