Hi Everybody,

It is an event of great pleasure to all of us at IIM Ahmedabad that 
the All India Doctoral Symposium is going to be held here during the 
period April 05-07, 2002.

You can direct your communication for paper submission and related 
issues to the undersigned. The following is the set of guidelines for 
paper submission.

ABSTRACT AND PAPER SUBMISSION

The whole process of submission and participation in the best paper 
presentation contest is divided into two parts: The Abstract 
submission and the Paper submission. 

Abstract Submission:

Your willingness to participate in the symposium would be 
demonstrated by your promptness in submitting an abstract of any 
unpublished and/or unsubmitted research by the specified deadline of 
24/02/02 (Sunday). The details of the abstract submission are as 
follows, and the detailed information of the best paper contest will 
follow in our next announcement.

The abstract should be written in English, one page of A4 format in 
size, using 12 point type at 1.5 line spacing and 1.2" margin on all 
four sides. It will be preferable that you submit the abstract paper 
in .pdf format or .rtf format or MS Word format.

The abstract should include the following in cover page

Title of the Paper
Name of author(s)...subject to a maximum of two authors per paper
Area of Specialization
Functional Area in which you want to get your paper reviewed
Institution - Year of Joining
Postal address(es) 
E-mail address(es)

We elicit electronic mail submission only and in MS Word document 
format or .pdf or .rtf format only.

All the submitted abstracts will be documented and every particpant 
will get the copy of them at the symposium. The deadline for 
submitting the abstracts is 24nd February 2002, as mentioned earlier. 
For participation in the Symposium it is enough to submit an abstract.

However, if you would like to present the paper at the Symposium and 
see your presentation published in the Symposium Proceedings, we 
invite you to submit a full paper for review and selection by the 6th 
of March, 2002 (Wednesday), the required structure of which will be 
communicated to you in a day or two.

So, this is a request to get going and submit your paper abstracts as 
soon as possible but within the deadline. Please submit the soft copy 
of your abstracts as attachments to iima_shodh@yahoo.com Now that we 
are cyber-networked as we are, you do not have to worry about sending 
hard copies at all. For any clarifications or doubts concerning the 
above please send a mail mentioning the same to iima_shodh@yahoo.com 
and not to the specialistsindia public forum at yahoogroups.com. The 
specialistsindia forum is set at an "individual mailing" setting and 
your clarification-seeking mails might just unnecessarily clog other 
members' mailboxes.
