Day 1

0900::10:30 Inaugural, Regsitration and address from keynote speaker
1045::1200 Problems in data collections and availability
Panel discussion on the problems faced by students in data
collection. This will include speakers from data banks like CMIE,
NASSCOM, FICCI etc. who will discuss about their limitations in
providing data to doctoral students, what data is available on which
not much research as been done, What measures could be taken to
expedite data collection, how to overcome the issue of resistance to
provide data for research and so
1200::1300 This will include brief introduction of the participants
(we will anyway have 3 days to know each other well) formation of the
society, its structure etc.

1400::1545 Bridging gap between research undertaken and expectations
of industry
This will have speakers from various industry associations (CIIs
etc.), students and academicians to bring forward the latest areas of
research, expectations of industry and on the other hand the current
research and its relevance.

1600::1730 Panel discussion: How to improve quantity and quality of
publications
This will include speakers who are on editorial board of leading
journals. The information of the characteristics of Indian visavis
other publications, quality of publication, how to improve them etc.


Day 2

0900::1300 Tutorial on research methodology
Latest tools and techniques both in qualitative and quantitative
research. Primary and secondary data collection exercises and so on.
It still needs to be further structured

1400::1730
This will be extended till third day Refer day three

Day 3

0900::1100 hrs This will include the Infrastructure and IT theme as
proposed. This will include panels constituted of one Industry expert
and one faculty for each of the sector like power, telecom, energy &
environment, health, finance etc. The constitution and extent of
content will be finalised depending upon the feedback from you.

1100::1300 and 1400::1500 will be devoted to "Research in Progress"
and will include presentation of shortlisted papers by students and
evaluated by a panel for awards.
1500::1530 Valedictory
1530 A short tour for site seeing in and around Ahmedabad will be
organized. (By the time of conference days will be quite long).
