T G Halli is a water reservoir/dam which serves as
one of the main sources of water supply to the Bangalore city. Very scenic, its
located only 35 kms from Bangalore on the way to Magadi. You'd usually need
permission from the BWSSB to go inside. The reservoir is formed when Arkavathy
and Kumudavathi river come together. (See the source of Arkavathy river in my
Nandi Hills trip.) We went with Gaurav, Mini, and Parth. It was a very serene
and peaceful picnic spot. We just parked the car and loitered around. Must go
for a short picnic! Haven't understood why its called Chamarajsagar/Chamrajsagar.
