Sep 23, 2007 Hesaraghatta Nrityagram
Since Vasantahabba has not
happening for quite a few years now, feeling nostalgic on a lazy weekend we
drove to Nrityagram and Hesaraghatta lake. The Hesaraghatta lake, as usual, was
all deserted. Had tea, snacks at the small tea shop outside the Inspection
Bunglow. Also noticed for the first time the lost-in-time Traveller's Bungalow.
On the way from Hesaraghatta lake to Nrityagram, saw the very picturesque Indian
Institite of Horticultural Research. When we reached
Nrityagram, realized
that we too early and that it hadn't even opened yet! Apparently, it opens only
at 1000 hrs whereas we were there at 0830 hrs! Okay, so to kill time, we went to
Taj Kuteeram just opposite Nrityagram. On the way back, spotted some neat
jungles/mangroves that provided very scenic photo ops!
